
Ford has announced the launch markets for the 2012 Focus Electric. The electric car will be available at the end of the next year in Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Orlando, Phoenix, Portland, Raleigh Durham, Richmond, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Tucson, and Washington D.C.
Ford’s President of the Americas, Mark Fields, said:
“There is a great deal of excitement for the Focus Electric across America and Ford wants to build on this enthusiasm by making our first all electric passenger vehicle available in as many pilot markets as possible.”

In the last three months, 15% of all cars sold in the US carried the famous blue oval of Ford Motor Company. Ford has reported its sixth consecutive quarterly profit with a net income of US$1.7 billion, a rise of $690m (68%) on the same period of 2009. As a result, Ford announced that it will pay down its debt earlier than anticipated. The company has a $5.8 billion debt repaid so far.
